The Chicago Blackhawks will be returning to Denver this fall for the first time in almost 20 years.
A game between the Blackhawks and the Colorado Avalanche will take place in the new Pepsi Center, a historic venue built in 1927 that hosted the NBA and NHL All-Star Game in 1980.
The arena will also host the NHL All Star Game on Sunday, Oct. 29.
The Chicago Blackhawks are playing in Denver for the second time in 20 years, playing the Washington Capitals in Denver’s Pepsi Center in February 2018.
The NHL is also playing at Pepsi Center for the NHL’s annual Fan Fest on Sunday.
The Blackhawks will play four home games at the venue: Nov. 18 against the Pittsburgh Penguins; Nov. 24 against the Detroit Red Wings; Nov, 25 against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nov. 28 against the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Avalanche and Blackhawks will each play four away games at Pepsi Centre: Nov., 24 against Winnipeg Jets; Nov., 29 against Vancouver Canucks; Dec. 2 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Blackhawks will host the Blue Jackets in their home opener.
The Denver-based Denver Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced its 2018 Winter Olympics bid, which includes the addition of four venues.
The bid was first announced in November 2018.
